About NBC 29 WeatherBug

NBC 29 WeatherBug uses weather stations installed at schools throughout our area to bring viewers information about live conditions and forecasts in their own neighborhoods with pinpoint accuracy. Our competitors can only get as close as the nearest airport.

In addition, schools that host the weather stations have access to a range of online lesson plans through WeatherBug Achieve, a web-based teaching tool that integrates live weather data in curriculum that covers a range of subjects including math, science, geography and technology.

NBC 29 WeatherBug is a win-win program, providing forecasts with greater accuracy and relevance and helping teachers engage students with live weather data and online learning.
